The best London events along River Thames
The bustling, vibrant capital city of London always has something going on to keep locals and visitors busy and entertained. The banks of the River Thames, offering many opportunities for urban walks, are also home to iconic attractions, some of which are venues for exciting events.

London Games Festival
The London Games Festival makes its first appearance with events throughout the city. The ten-day festival opened its doors on 1st April and continues until 10th April, celebrating the business, art, and culture of video games.
Visitors can take part in workshops, fringe events, exhibitions and gaming tournaments. Be sure to visit the BFI Southbank to enter the world of virtual reality.
This fun-packed festival runs from 7th April – 17th July and will house live acts inside a gigantic upside-down purple cow, which will dominate the skyline of London. Taking place at the Southbank Centre, it offers family entertainment, music, circus and comedy during the early summer months.
Be sure to visit the Udderbelly Pasture, one of the biggest outdoor bars in London, located on the banks of the Thames. Entry to the bar is free and lets visitors enjoy drinks and sumptuous snacks.
Australian circus company, Circa, brings its new show to London from 7th April until 12th June. It promises a thrilling experience as the performers push themselves to extremes with daredevil aerial stunts and acrobatics. Performers will show the limitations and extremes of the human body up close and personal.
Circa is part of the Underbelly Festival and is premiering its new spectacle, Closer. Hailed as one of the headline shows during the festival, visitors will not want to miss it.
