London hotel provides guests with free mobile phone

Guests staying at London’s Eccleston Square Hotel are now provided with a free smartphone when they check in.

Use of the free phone will help to reduce the expenses related to both business and leisure travel, as calls will be permitted to selected countries. This new feature will benefit guests who need to keep in touch with colleagues while staying in the hotel to attend events and meetings at venues in London.

Free calls and browsing

The phones, available for use inside and outside the hotel, come with unlimited browsing capabilities, which can be a significant factor for companies sending delegates to events. They include unlimited calls to many European countries, as well as the USA. They can also be used to browse the internet for help navigating to venues, to complete research or update social media feeds.

In the past, those travelling for business would have claimed back the cost of calls made on personal phones. Alternatively, businesses would have covered the cost of expensive international calls made on company mobiles or from hotel rooms.

This is one of the first London hotels to provide such a service, which is likely to become a popular feature.

Ideal for business

The Eccleston Square Hotel is conveniently located for business travellers, and is within easy reach of Victoria Station, for the Gatwick Express and the River Thames, for those attending events on board one of the Thames luxury charters.

A Grade II listed Georgian townhouse is home to this boutique hotel, designed to meet the needs of the modern traveller. The hotel has been tastefully furnished, with the high-quality bedrooms including massage beds, iPads, free high-speed Wi-Fi and 3D televisions, making it an ideal choice for hospitality bookings.
